경기창작센터 입주작가에 엽서를 쓰면 엽서 발송을 해주는 이벤트를 운영합니다. 엽서는 전시실 안에 비치해 있습니다.

엽서를 보내고 싶은 작가님께 편지를 써보세요. 창작센터가 엽서를 대신 전해드립니다. (우체통에 넣어주신 엽서는 전시기간 내에 창작센터에서 수거하여 작가에게 대신 전해드립니다.)
“in lieu of” you, I will send your mail
Please write a letter to one, whom you wish to send. GCC will send your letter for you. Your postcards deposited to the mail box will be collected and delivered to your artists after the end of this exhibition.
경기창작센터는 2009년 개관과 함께 Res Artis 컨퍼런스를 동시 개최함으로써 국제레지던스로 자리매김하여 ‘세계 속의 경기도’라는 경기도의 모토를 실현해왔습니다. 개관이래 지금까지 총 300여명의 국내외 작가들이 입주하여 다양한 연구 활동과 예술적 실험을 하는 장으로 기관의 위상을 유지하여 왔으며, 또한 서해안을 중심으로 한 경기도 일대의 문화예술의 중추적인 역할을 담당하고 있습니다.
이번 전시는 그동안 경기창작센터에서 입주하여 활동했던 작가들과 그 활동을 집대성해보자는 취지로 기획되었고 전시를 위해 수집된 자료는 추후 작가 창작활동을 심화연구하는 기초자료로 사용될 것이며, 문화예술사업의 풀로 활용될 예정입니다.
지난 7년 동안 입주했던 작가들은 자신의 소중한 기억을 더듬어 보는 기회가 되고 다른 관객은 그 기억을 전시로서 관람하여 간접적으로 느낄 수 있는 기회가 될 것입니다.
Gyeonggi Creation Center, an institute under Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, inaugurated in 2009, hosted Res Artis conference and became a favorable facility for international artist-in- residence. GCC became a hub for many artists and scholars in various academic fields from diverse countries to explore artistic experiments and a pivotal place for culture and arts in this area. Through open calls and serious reviews, artists have been selected. GCC has offered partially furnished studios to the artists. It also has provided supporting programs for creativity in order to expand the artistic realm of artists. Besides, mutual exchanges among artists, workshops to revitalize a community, exhibitions and international exchange programs have been additional supporting programs. In this exhibit, we would like to have an opportunity to remind and review the ramifications of activities of around three hundred artists, who have been artists-in-residence in GCC and achievements that GCC has accomplished. Materials collected for this exhibit will be basic data for diverse culture and arts projects in the future. The archive exhibit for GCC artists-in-residence may offer to public an extensive view of the history and activities of them. GCC hopes that this opportunity can give an understanding of the trend of contmeporay arts and recall precious memories of the artists.
